1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our website https://accountantsbrisbane.com.au/ (“Website”) you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Website.
2. Services
Our Website and communications are intended to provide general information about our accounting, tax, bookkeeping and advisory services. Use of the Website does not by itself create a professional engagement, client relationship or agreement to provide specific services unless expressly agreed in writing.
Any services we provide will be subject to a separate Engagement Letter (‘Letter of Engagement’), scope of work, fee agreement and any further terms we require. The Letter of Engagement will take precedence over these Terms in relation to the specific engagement.
3. Use of Website
You agree to use the Website for lawful purposes only. You must not:
- use the Website in a way that breaches any law or regulation, infringes rights of third parties, or is fraudulent or harmful;
- damage, disable or impair the Website or interfere with other users’ access;
- attempt to extract or harvest data (for example by scraping) from the Website without our prior written consent;
- republish, transmit, or publicly display material from the Website for commercial purposes unless explicitly permitted by us.
4. Intellectual Property
All content, materials, graphics, design, logos, text, software and other information published on the Website are the property of Accountants Brisbane (or its licensors) and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.
You may view, download (for caching) and print pages from the Website for your personal non-commercial use only, provided you keep intact all copyright, trademark and other proprietary notices. Any other use (including modification, republication, commercial use) is prohibited unless you obtain our express written permission.
5. External Links
Our Website may include links to third-party websites for your convenience. We do not control those sites and accept no responsibility or liability for the content, accuracy, or availability of such external sites. Your use of any linked site is at your own risk.
6. Disclaimers
- The information provided on the Website is provided on an “as-is” basis and is of a general nature only. It is not tailored to your individual or business circumstances, and should not be relied upon as accounting, tax, financial, legal or other professional advice.
- You should seek independent professional advice tailored to your specific situation.

- We will not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunities arising from or in connection with your use of the Website or reliance on the information contained therein.
- Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total liability is limited to the extent permitted by law (for example to the fee paid for an applicable service).
- Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (within the Competition and Consumer Act 2010).
8. Fees & Payment (for Services)
When we are engaged to provide services via a separate Letter of Engagement:
- Fees will be set out in your Letter of Engagement or service quotation and may vary according to complexity, timeframe and specialist input required.
- Goods & Services Tax (“GST”) will be applied where applicable, in accordance with Australian tax law.
- Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you must pay all invoices by the due date stated. If you fail to pay, we may suspend or cease services, or charge interest on overdue amounts (as permitted by law).
- You agree to reimburse us for reasonable out-of-pocket expenses (travel, printing, courier, third-party fees) incurred in providing services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Termination of Engagement
Either party may terminate the service engagement in accordance with the terms set out in the relevant Letter of Engagement. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations incurred prior to termination (for example fees or liabilities).
Upon termination, you agree to pay all outstanding fees, reimbursement for costs incurred and any reasonable costs of transfer of files, unless otherwise agreed.
10. Data Protection & Privacy
Your personal and business information is collected, held, used and disclosed in accordance with our separate Privacy Policy. By engaging us or using our Website, you consent to that collection, use and disclosure of information as set out in the Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or connected with them are governed by the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
12. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time by updating this page. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect when changes were made. Your continued use of the Website after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.
